We are looking for a temporary chief officer for one of our ships, which sails from Montreal to St. John’s, NL. Under the supervision of the captain, the chief officer is responsible for the general maintenance of the ship, the wheelhouse equipment, the deck machinery within area of responsibility, work organization, operation and supervision of the deck department and operations, loading, proper cargo stability, discharging of all cargo, and for the receiving, the stowage, the care and the economical use of all consumable deck operations stores.
Qualifications
• Chief Mate Canadian certificate (STCW 95)
• Marine Medical Certificate
• MED: STCW Basic Safety, Advanced Firefighting and Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats, other than fast rescue boats
• Ship Personnel with designated security duties proficiency
Skills
• Excellent leadership, supervision, and planning skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Capacity to work under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bilingualism: French and English
Working conditions

We have one position available for Marine Engineer, Fourth Class motor. Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, the 4th Class Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair and cleanliness of all machinery and equipment assigned to him.
Qualifications
•Canadian Marine Engineer certificate, motor vessel, Class 4 (STCW-95)
•Marine Medical Certificate
•MED STCW Basic Safety
•MED in Advanced Firefighting
•Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats
•Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties Proficiency
Skills

•Billingual in French and English

We have an opening for a Bosun position on one of our ships which sails from Montreal to St. John’s, NL. The Bosun is involved in ship maintenance and ensures the implementation of the quality and safety management system and the compliance with company’s policies and procedures. He supervises the deckhands and coordinates the deck work.
Qualifications
• Bridge Watch Rating (an asset)
• Marine Medical Certificate
• MED : STCW Basic Safety and Proficiency in Survival Crafts and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats
